Katie serves on active duty at JB Andrews as the Air National Guard’s Crisis Action Team Superintendent. She began CrossFit in 2013, later competing with CrossFit South Arlington and developing a passion for Olympic lifting under elite coaches. With a USAW Level 1 and NASM Youth Coaching Certification, plus a graduate degree in Kinesiology, Katie has coached youth athletes and contributed research in collegiate gymnastics. Outside of fitness, she’s a proud mom, traveler, dog lover, and mezcal enthusiast.

Led by Dr. Sara BlackDr. Sara Black, PT, DPT, CAPP-Pelvic, CSCS; Sara is a doctor of physical therapy and founder of Zia Physiotherapy, specializing in pelvic health and orthopedic care for athletes of all genders. She has helped postpartum runners, competitive lifters, and weekend warriors overcome pain, leaking, and performance plateaus with a personalized approach that actually solves the root of the problem. Sara's mission is to empower athletes through education, strong movement patterns, and smart recovery strategies that support the pelvic floor, nervous system, and hormonal balance. 

Workshop Description: 
Pelvic health isn't just for women and it isn't just about Kegels. Whether you're pushing your limits in the gym, logging miles on the track, or dialing in your recovery routine, your pelvic floor is central to how you move, perform, and feel. 


This interactive workshop is designed for men and women training in high-intensity modalities like CrossFit, Hyrox, and performance workouts. We'll explore how to optimize your breath, pressure strategies, recovery tools, and functional nutrition to support a resilient, powerful core while addressing common concerns like leaking, pelvic pain, ab separation, genital nerve compression, and hormonal imbalances.

Walk away with tools you can apply immediately, both as an athlete and a coach.
