Never tried CrossFit before but want to try? Newer to CrossFit and want to learn more about the movements and foundations to feel more comfortable in classes?
This FREE class will cover everything you need to know to begin your CrossFit journey. If you have ever thought about trying CrossFit but didn't know where to start or thought that CrossFit wasn't for you, this is the class for you!! We also welcome anyone newer to CrossFit who'd like more help with understanding some of the basic movements, terminology, and structure of the CrossFit classes. Everyone is welcome!

Power & Precision: Snatch Technique Workshop
Meet your coach: Katie Murphy!
Katie brings over 12 years of experience in CrossFit and USA Weightlifting, coaching athletes across a wide range of skill levels. She holds a Master’s in Kinesiology with a focus on youth sport performance, and is certified through USA Weightlifting (Level 1) and NASM with a Youth Exercise Specialization. Her deep understanding of movement, technique, and athlete development makes her the perfect coach to lead this Snatch Workshop at Halo.

2025 MURPH
Each year our Halo Fitness & Crossfit703 family host the MURPH workout. We do this workout over the Memorial Day weekend in honor and memory of our fallen heroes that gave their lives for our country.

Meet Your Coach: Dianna Carr
Dianna Carr is a Health Coach and the founder of Be Well Health Coaching. After 13 years in the field of data privacy, Dianna transitioned to pursue her true passion—helping others improve their health through nutrition and wellness. She holds a Master’s degree in Nutrition Education from American University, is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, and is certified as a Personal Trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

My love of fitness started in middle school with track and field and eventually evolved throughout high school and college until I joined the Army. In 2014 I discovered my love of lifting and CrossFit while training for selection and have been part of the community ever since. I started a “functional fitness” gym during a deployment in South Sudan where I learned I loved to coach; I am forever grateful Halo gave me the opportunity to coach again.
